NAF Offers Free Medical Service To Niger State Flood Victims

Victims of the recent flood disaster in parts of Niger State, North Central Nigeria, have benefitted from a free medical outreach provided by the Nigeria Air Force.

The team of Air Force medical experts, commenced its work at the Central Primary School, Zungeru in Wushishi Local Government Area where over 1,000 flood victims, now temporarily reside.

Leader of the team, Group Captain Azubike Chukwuka, who is also the Director of Public Health and Humanitarian Service of the Nigeria Air Force, said the five-day medical outreach, an initiative of the Chief Of Air Staff, is geared towards alleviating the plight of the flood victims Commander of the 351 base services group, Minna, Group Captain Suleiman Usman, said the outreach is part of the constitutional role of the Nigerian Air Force to cater for the health needs of about 5,000 members of the Zungeru Community.

Medical services provided included health and visual acuity checks, de-worming of children, and provision of eyeglasses, treated mosquito nets and required medications.
