The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Niger state, Umar Nasko has picked former member of the state House of Assembly, Mohammed Ndayako, as running mate.
The Director of Communications of the Campaign Organisation of the PDP candidate, Yahaya Mohammed Usman, disclosed this a statement in Minna on Sunday.
“The PDP gubernatorial candidate of Niger state for the 2019 governorship election, Umar Nasko, after due consultation with PDP stakeholders has endorsed the nomination of Barrister Mohammed Ndayako as his running mate in the upcoming governorship race”, he said.
He said both Nasko and Ndayako were both grassroots mobilizers whose combination would tilt the calculation in favour of the opposition party, even as he noted that the opinion poll conducted ahead of 2019 already favoured Nasko against the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.
“As we speak the survey conducted by independent organization showed that Nasko was far ahead of incumbent governor Abubakar Sani Bello with 80% chances than the governor who polled 20%”, he noted.
He said the opinion poll is a signal to the APC led administration to start preparing their handover notes for 2019.
Mr. Mohammed Ndayako was born on the 12th August 1966, attended Government College Bida, Institute of Administration Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, University of Maiduguri for a law Degree, and The Nigerian Law School Lagos.
He also attended, University of Abuja for Masters in Public Administration, was called to Bar in 1990. Elected into Niger State House of Assembly 2003 to 2007. Chairman Nigerian Bar Association, Minna, Branch. 2015 – 2016
Mr. Mohammed Kudu Ndayako hails from Bida with friends across Nigeria and abroad, He is into private legal practice since 1991, married to Hajara Mama Aliyu and blessed four kids and two grandchildren.
